This course covers all first aid essentials and is the benchmark of first aid. It is also a company requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, OHSA 1993.
The Basic Emergency First Aid Responder course complies with the requirements for the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Corporate employees will find the Basic training course ideal for assisting them with the management of every day first aid emergencies in their workplace. Great emphasis is put on practicing the skills of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to enable employees to respond successfully to emergencies. The Basic Emergency First Aid Responder course meets the Department of Labour standards and guidelines as stipulated in the OHS act.
This course covers adult CPR & choking, emergency scene management & safety, wounds, bleeding, burns, shock, vital signs, unconsciousness, fainting, fractures, bandaging, splinting, head & spinal injuries, impaled objects, electrocution, patient history, basic bites & stings, poisonings.
